Edition of MICAI
Pre-conference workshops are collocated with MICAI 2011. The aim of the workshops is to provide a forum for exchange of experience between experts and students working in the areas of AI that are emerging in Mexico. Some workshops will be held on Monday 28 and some on Tuesday 29. A selection of accepted papers will be published in a book with ISBN or a journal special issue; a specific publication type will be announced later.

The aim of this workshop is to bring together active researchers in the field of Intelligent Learning Environments (ILE) . In particular, the workshop aims to provide a forum for young researchers to present their ongoing research. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
Web-Based intelligent tutoring systems,
Intelligent learning management systems,
Intelligent learning objects,
Modelling, enactment and intelligent use of emotion and affect,
Natural language and dialogue approaches to ILE design and construction,
Authoring tools,
Applications of cognitive science,
Semantic Web technologies, and
Student modeling.

The workshop will cover social simulation and dynamic social network systems. It also covers Hybrid Systems with the capability to hold a negotiation about a topic, demonstrate reputation using diverse models, together with argumentation procedures as a way for reaching agreements during the negotiation process.
